An Introduction to Applied Equine Podiatry

3-Day Course in Whole Health Hoof Care

This page contains the curriculum for our 3 day whole health hoof care programs. Whether you are a horse owner, farrier, or veterinarian the Institute offers a course or program to fit your needs. Courses provide the latest information on modern day hoof care, barefoot hoof care and natural hoof care. Our curriculums have been developed by a professional farrier, horseshoer, and equine podiatrist KC La Pierre. If you are interest in the welfare, health, and performance of your horse or the horses in your care, then the Institute has a course that is right for you.
For those of you that are looking for a career change, Applied Equine Podiatry and Holistic Hoof Care is a growning industry. When you consider that there are over 8 million horses in the United States, and that these horses need to have hoof care every 6 to 8 weeks the potential for developing a succesful practice in the hoof care industry is huge. The biggest complaint we hear is that there are just not enough qualified hoof care providers available.
