  • How or for what can I use my diploma?
  • Some people want the diploma to assist them in developing a new career. You might have the experience and the knowledge to do the job, but often times the person with the diploma or certification will be picked over the person without it. Getting your diploma will help to advance your position on the playing field and improve your acceptance greatly.

Of course, there are those who aren't concerned with Applied Equine Podiatry as a career. They might be interested in increasing their knowledge of the equine foot or learning how to help their own horses. They simply want the personal satisfaction of knowing that their knowledge can be transferred to a diploma. They want to hang their diploma on the wall and feel proud of their accomplishment.

  • How long will it take to get started once all the requirements are fulfilled?
  • In most cases you may begin in 7 to 10 days. Your first On-Line module will be sent upon receipt of tuition payment.

  • If I get a D.A.E.P. Diploma how soon can I begin my Advanced Diploma studies?
  • The advanced program is targeted at those who have achieved the requirements to earn their D.A.E.P. diploma. If your desire is continue your studies you must first hold your D.A.E.P. The Advanced Level On-Line Program will be available to those who have completed the level one on-line program.

  • I think I would like to qualify for a teaching diploma; does that opportunity exist?
  • Accomplished individuals might qualify for advancement to the level of instructor. This would be the Instructor diploma program. If you wish to pursue this opportunity it is advisable that you contact our office for further information.

  • What location is stated on the diploma?
  • No location is stated on the diploma. Not being a State College, we don't have any requirement to show a location.

  • How long does it take to get my diploma?
  • The time it takes to achieve a diploma varies greatly from student to student. It will take a minimum of six months and it is a requirement that all studies be completed within twelve months of enrollment. Though the On-Line studies and Practical studies do not have to run concurrent to on another. The On-Line may be completed first (within 12 months), and the practical at a later time (also to be completed within 12 months of first attending a hands on-course.)

  • Can I contact the Institute directly?
  • You may contact IAEP at anytime, via email or phone.
  • Is the diploma verifiable?
  • Yes! Your diploma is verifiable! Your student record will be maintained on file for a minimum of twenty years.

  • Is this a good way to get a diploma in Applied Equine Podiatry?
  • It is the only way to get a diploma in Applied Equine Podiatry. You must decide for yourself if this is a good program for you. It is not our intention to sell you on our program or to hype it up. We believe you will agree that we have not added in any of the normal sales hype you usually see. This is because we know our program is not for everyone, but it is the best. We don't want to sell you on it if it isn't right for you. IAEP, Inc. has the advantage of being the most advanced in its field and offers the highest level of learning on the equine foot at very low cost. So we ask you to consider this; are you interested in helping to raise the quality of life of the horse? Are you willing to take responsibility for hoof care? Are you willing to commit 110%? We are not trying to compare a diploma from IAEP, Inc. to Yale or Harvard. There are different roads for each of us to travel. A diploma from IAEP, Inc. represents the highest of standards in the hoof care industry to date.

  • Is IAEP accredited?
  • We offer an educational process, not a place. IAEP provides many of our services via electronic delivery, with no residency requirements. This is the reason we do what we do at a reasonable cost. The idea of centralized government control over higher education in the United States was rejected in favor of a system of voluntary regional accreditation organizations. Membership in any one of the several U.S. regional accrediting associations is strictly voluntary. These regional accrediting associations are privately owned and operated and are not owned or operated by the U.S. Government or the U.S. Department of Education.

At this time, none of the recognized regional accrediting organizations accept as members institutions that are not dedicated to traditional education that requires residency and classroom attendance. Therefore, even if IAEP desired to apply for such accreditation, we could not be considered because not all of our classes are held at our Old Town campus. However, we are actively seeking accreditation for distance learning, both here in the USA and in the United Kingdom.

  • Are there other schools with similar programs that claim to be accredited?
  • There is no control on the use of the word "accredited". If the school offers a program similar to ours, they are not accredited by an agency that is recognized by the US Department of Education. And unless that accreditation is recognized by US DOE, there will be limitations as to the acceptance of the diploma. Those limitations include professional license requirements and federal program funding.

  • What if I have a question not answered here?
  • We ask you to first carefully read all the information provided on our site. There isn't much not answered somewhere. If you do need to ask a question, please ask a specific question. We prefer not to answer general questions that can be answered by reading the web site.
