Applied Equine Podiatrist Level 1 (D.A.E.P.) requires the completion of On-Line modules of academic study. The on-line modules will include assignments, mid-term exam and final exam. A certificate of completion will be awarded for the completion of the on-line studies.
In addition to the on-line studies a minimum of 200 hours of practical, hands-on experience is required. Hours are accumulated by attending the Institute's hands-on courses, with each day attended equivalent to eight hours.
Written and Practical exams are required for achieving Level 1. A Certificate of Completion of On-Line Studies must be submitted before the final written and practical exam may be taken.
The Level (1) On-Line Modules Program is open to everyone. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon completion of on-line studies.
Application for the Institute's On-Line Certificate Program are now being accepted.
Practical hours are only credited following enrollment in the On-Line Program.

A Diploma in Applied Equine Podiatry will be awarded to those successfully completing both the on-line and practical studies and successfully passing the final exams.
Applied Equine Podiatrist Level 2 (D.A.E.P.II) (Advanced Equine Podiatry) will concentrate on pathologies of the equine foot, lameness diagnosis, advanced treatments for lameness, gait analysis, current equine research, and studies based on advanced imaging techniques and their interpretation.
Level two requires the completion of on-line modules on the advanced study of the equine foot. A certificate of completion will be awarded upon completion of all assignments, mid term and final exam.
Required practical studies will be completed at our facilities in Old Town, Florida.

Applicants must maintain active membership in the Institute's Alumni Association.
The Level (2) On-Line Modules Program is open only to those holding a level one certificate of completion for the first level on-line program.
Those meeting all requirements for this level will be awarded a diploma in Advanced Applied Equine Podiatry (D.A.E.P.II).
Graduates of our Diploma Program become Members of the Institute of Applied Equine Podiatry Alumni Association. Membership in the Alumni Association is voluntary and requires annual renewal.
Only active alumni will be listed on our site. Active alumni voluntarily participate in the practice of CER (continuing educational requirements.)
